About the Event
Our PVAW tradition is to end our season hiking this iconic mountain together. We will be hiking at our own speeds and self-led.   If your destination is the summit, the hike starts at 2,039 feet and climbs 4.5 miles gaining 3950 feet to the summit at an elevation of 5989 feet. There is also a beautiful waterfall at Fall Creek that tumbles down an avalanche shoot around mile 1.5 that is also a lovely destination.  RSVP for Dirty Face Hike No need to RSVP for our self-led hike. Just show up at the Dirty Face parking area at 9am:) However, if you have any questions or would like to connect with me prior, please feel free to email me at PVAW@SkiPlain.com.  What to Bring? Appropriate hiking shoes. Dress for the weather (layers are wise!) Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat & rain jacket (weather in the NW!) Snacks, water and a lunch 1st aid kit & other essentials you may need for the journey:) Hiking poles (optional)
