Position Overview

Program Director & Head Coach --- This full-time, year-round position leads PVNT’s youth programs and oversees approximately 120 skiers and more than 20 paid and volunteer coaches.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Leading PVNT’s culture, values, and coaching philosophy

  • Designing and overseeing age-appropriate, year-round training

  • Coaching athletes from beginner through national-level competition

  • Recruiting, supervising, and mentoring paid and volunteer coaches

  • Managing program operations, communication, staffing, budgets, equipment, practices, camps, races, and travel

  • Collaborating with PVST staff, families, community partners, and other Nordic clubs

  • Helping shape PVNT’s future programming and year-round home base

The ideal candidate will be an advanced Nordic skier with competitive coaching experience, strong training-plan expertise, and demonstrated experience managing staff or volunteers, budgets, and youth programs. A USSS coaching license and associated training are required. This position requires flexibility, regular travel, and availability for practices, camps, races, and events, including evenings and weekends.

Salary

$50,000–$60,000 DOE, plus benefits.
