About the Event
Lindsey Kiesz has been enjoying handwork and slow stitching (embroidery and quilting) as a way to create and relax for the past 10 years. She's excited to introduce (or re-introduce) these techniques to members of Plain Valley Adventure Women. Hand embroider a coaster We'll stitch some basic stitches using some gingham fabric as our guide. PVAW will learn basic stitches: running stitch, seed stitch, and back stitch with plenty of flexibility for exploring more advanced techniques. Embroidery is fun and relaxing and a wonderful way to explore your creativity whether you're an experienced crafter or new to stitching. What to bring? Lindsey is providing all the supplies! If you'd like to take home the equipment (hoop, thread and needle) please bring $5 cash. A lawn chair so we can stitch outside.
