Good morning skiers! We have fresh skate on all open trails and classic tracks set on nearly all trails except Mill Hill and Grizzly Mountain. We used the PB 100 snowcat south of Mt. Springs Lodge so some great skiing (especially the classic tracks) on Meadow Loop and Sprint Loop. I worked to keep the classic away from the soft edges so the poling will be firm on both sides of the classic track. The Ginzu groomers were used on Rowdy Coyote, Mill Hill, and all trails north of the Hitching Post area at Mt. Springs Lodge. Grooming started at 4 AM and was complete by 6 AM. The low was 30. It was 31 degrees at 7 AM, and the high yesterday was 38. The Stadium is groomed full width with two sets of classic. Playground is groomed out as well as the Skiercross Drops. We have light snow this AM but no accumulation.
US skier Jessie Diggins continues to lead the Tour de Ski on the World Cup Circuit! The US men are also looking good!
Trail passes are required and can be purchased at Plain Hardware www.plainhardware.com or online at www.SkiPlain.com.
XC ski and snowshoe rentals are avaliable at Plain Hardware as well as a full service XC retail shop, including hot waxing. This warmer snow calls for good waxing!
Gus, Rob W, and Josiah were today's groomers.
Have fun out there!
