We got roughly another inch of snow yesterday and temperatures last night dropped down to around 20 degrees, which should make for some great skiing this morning. We are looking at cloudy skies today and a slight chance for some flurries this afternoon. If you are looking for some fun, don't forget about the Tour de Plain which is going on until tomorrow and is open to all abilities.
The SnoCat stayed down in the Meadow Loop area and groomed out fresh skate and classic on the Meadow Loop, the Beaver Creek Trail out to Mountain Springs Lodge, Spring Loop and Mill Hill, while just setting skate on Rowdy Coyote and Chainsaw Ridge (which still might have some thin areas).
The Ginzu groomed out everything north of Mountain Springs Lodge setting fresh skate and adding a set of classic tracks in a lot of areas with mixed results of how deep they were able to set up, so there are still places with tracks left from yesterday that were set by the SnoCat.
The snow is still thin in spots going over Hot Tub Hill, the Hitching Post area and the cutoff to Rowdy Coyote, so use caution in those areas. (Cougar Run and Lumi Lane are still closed until we get more snow.)
Parking lots have a couple of inches of snow over ice and micro spikes are highly recommended, walk with care.
