Grooming Report - Sunday 2/19/23

Good morning skiers! This morning we have filtered sunshine, a bit of wind and 38 degrees at 9:30 AM. No new snow. Overnight we had a low of 30, and yesterday's high was 40. I used the PB-100 to set fresh classic and skate on the Meadow Loop Trails, Sprint Loop, the BCT from Plain to Mt. Springs, the Playground, and the Parking Lot Practice area. Up valley, we used the Ginzu to set fresh skate, and classic where it was needed.

We did groom while it was freezing and trails look great. This morning's warmer temps will soften the trails so the best skiing will be this morning, and also trails north of Mt. Springs Lodge are staying much colder/firmer than in the meadows of Plain.

One of the best things about our community is how friendly and welcoming it is. I make it a point to look up and say "hi" to skiers that I pass. Help me to make our trails the friendliest trails in the world! You never know who you will meet!

Snowshoe trails are open and lots are plowed. Parking lots are ICY! PLEASE USE CAUTION.

Trail passes are required and avaliable on line at www.skiplain.com or in person at Plain Hardware. Plain Hardware also offers XC ski and snowshoe rentals, and a full line XC ski shop. More info at www.plainhardware.com.

Today's groomers were Rob D and myself.

Have fun out there!
