Groomer’s Report - Saturday, 2/11/23

Good morning skiers! I'm super excited about how the trails are skiing! Last night we used the PB-100 Snowcat on the entire Beaver Creek Trail, including Swamp Creek, Clear Creek Loop, Shotgun Meadow, Meadow Loops, and Sprint Loop. The skiing is really holding up and I'll say the skating is outstanding, with the platform and surface staying frozen throughout the day in spite of the warm afternoon temps we have had. This morning we have sunny blue skies, 21 degrees at 8 AM, and no new snow. The overnight low was 18, and yesterday's high was 48. The trails skied well and stayed firm all day, and I expect the same today.

Snowshoe trails are open and the parking lots are plowed.

BE CAREFUL - PARKING LOTS AND WALKING SURFACES ARE ICY - PLEASE USE CAUTION.

We have farmed some snow through the Hitching Post area, and improved the grooming over Hot Tub Hill. Try skiing the entire BCT!

Trail passes are required and can be purchased online at www.skiplain.com or in person at Plain Hardware. Plain Hardware also offers hot waxing (for skis) and a full line of XC ski gear.

Today's groomers were Gus, Rob D, Rob W, Jason, and Caleb!

Have fun out there!
