Groomer’s Report - Thursday 1/26/23

Good morning skiers! We have a high thin overcast , and 29 degrees at 8:30 AM. The overnight low was 22 and yesterday's high was 47. Fresh skate on all trails. Fresh classic in places in the meadow. The trails above Mountain Springs are not softening up during the day, even with the warmer temps. Skating should be firmer up valley in the afternoon, compared to the meadow loops. Classic will be firm an fast early in the day where it was not reset. We plan to reset classic on all trails in the evening on Friday for skiing Saturday. The Mill Hill complex was groomed Wednesday evening and should be very firm and fast in the morning.

Today's picture is from this morning on the BCT just above Stonewater. Skating should be nice in this area.

Snowshoe trails are open and parking lots are plowed. XC ski and snowshoe rentals are availabe at Plain Hardware. Trail passes can be purchased online at www.skiplain.com or in person at Plain Hardware.
