Good morning, skiers! It’s looking good out there with fresh snow and cold temps! It is currently 27 degrees after an overnight low of 24. Light flurries and clearing skies at the moment. We have about 1-1/2” of new snow, with more in the forecast. Grooming started at 7 AM from Stonewater Ranch, heading north to Thousand Trails. We still have low snow conditions and not all trails are open. Trailheads that are open are Beaver Creek and Clear Creek. The Meadow Loop Trailhead in Plain is closed until we have a bit more snow. There is about 10-12 K’s of trail groomed out of our normal 24 K’s. The skiing is actually very good for this early in the season. I would pick skate today, with our firm base with fresh snow on top.
Snowshoe trails are closed due to low snow conditions.
Trail passes are available on-line at SkiPlain.com or at Plain Hardware. Rentals, both XC ski and snowshoes, are also available at Plain Hardware. We also teach private lessons. Book on-line.
Happy skiing today!
