Good morning, (water)skiers! We have delayed grooming due to significant ongoing freezing rain. Most everything is a sheet of ice today. At 9:20 AM today we have 28 degrees and steady rain.
Today's pic shows this mornings conditions at Plain Hardware, with water pooling on top of an ice layer.
In spite of the conditions, we expect the downpour to end in a few hours and we will run the snowcat between Plain and the Beaver Creek Trailhead to offer limited skiing, both skate and classic. I'll update as we learn more.
Be VERY CAREFUL out there today as roads, driveways, and parking lots are very icy.
