Groomer's Report - Wednesday, 1/31/24

Good morning skiers! We have fresh skate and classic grooming with the PB100 today on Meadow Loop, Sprint Loop, and the BCT between Plain and Mt. Springs Lodge. Temps dropped to 31.7 last night, so it has set up a bit in spite of the touch of rain we had overnight. Should be good skiing for both skate and classic. Up north, fresh skate on the BCT between Clear Creek Trailhead and Stonewater Loop, including Swamp Creek Loop. Classic is holding up well and was left from yesterday. Conditions are good on the groomed trails. Not groomed are Grizzly Mountain, the Mill Hill complex of trails, and the BCT between Hot Tub Hill at Mt. Springs and Stonewater Loop. With the warm temps and rain this week, we are protecting those trails from damage from the grooming equipment. They are still skiable, just not freshly groomed.

Get out and ski! It's been skiing really well and we have had very little rain (says the westsider who grew up at Lake Cushman).

Trail passes are required and can be purchased at Plain Hardware or online at www.SkiPlain.com. Please have your pass showing while on the trails or keep your phone handy to show your e-ticket if you purchased online.

Today's groomers were Caleb and Gus.

Have fun out there!
