Groomer’s Report - Wednesday 12/21/22

Good morning skiers! We packed yesterday afternoon and groomed this morning starting at 5 AM. Trails are looking good! Classic might be my choice over skate as we received over 18" of new snow from the storm and skate could be soft in some areas. It is currently partly sunny, 6 degrees at 9:30 AM, after a low of 4 and yesterday's high was 10. The best skating will be the Meadow Loops, Sprint Loop, and the BCT between Plain and Mt. Springs as this was packed with the PB-100 (it's heavy).

Both Mill Hill and Grizzly Mountain were packed with the SnowRabbit Snow Cat, and they are ready to ski today!

Parking lots are plowed! The Clear Creek Trailhead parking is partially plowed and passable as of 8 am (this lot is maintained by Thousand Trails). Local roads and highways are all plowed and in great shape.

Snowshoe trails are open but were not packed out as of 8 am today.

Trail passes are required and can be purchased online at www.skiplain.com or in person at Plain Hardware. XC sales & rentals, including warm gloves and waxes, are avaliable at Plain Hardware.

Have fun out there!

Rob W, Rob D, and Jason, today's groomers.

Unfortunately, we have made the decition to CLOSE the trails until conditions improve. It is a little to thin, soft and wet out there and it looks like more rain tomorrow. Do your snow dance and hopef

Good morning skiers! As of 8:15 AM the temp is 32 degrees with light rain. No new snow over night. Due to soft conditions and our thin base we did not groom this morning. Most trails were last groomed
