Groomer’s Report - Wednesday, 2/15/23

Good morning skiers! Whew! That was some great skiing yesterday! Lot's of smiles and sunshine and great grooming if I might say so! Today we save similar conditions as it didn't warm up to much yesterday and we have had an overnight low of 14. Yesterday's high was 41, and it is still 14 degrees at 7:45 AM. We have mostly sunny skies and no new snow overnight. Today we used the PB-100 on the trails around Plain. This was Meadow Loops, Sprint Loop, the teaching stadium, and Beaver Creek Trail from Meadow Loop Trailhead to the far side of Hot Tub Hill. Skate on all and some new classic, including the entire Sprint Loop. Today's picture is from the Beaver Creek Trail looking north towards Mt. Springs Lodge. The trails north of the Hitching Post have been groomed with the Ginzu groomers pulled by our tracked ATV's. This means fresh skate and classic left from yesterday.

Snowshoe trails are open and parking lots are plowed. WARNING - PARKING LOTS ARE ICY. PLEASE USE CAUTION ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR SKI BOOTS ON.

Are you ready to demo some skin skis (classic)? Or perhaps you are ready to upgrade your skate skis? Drop into Plain Hardware's rental shop and they will set up with a free demo. Plain Hardware offers a full service XC ski shop. More here at: https://www.plainhardware.com/xc-ski-gear

Trail passes are required and can be purchased online at www.skiplain.com or in person at Plain Hardware.

Today's groomers were myself, Caleb, and Jason.

Have fun out there!
