Good morning skiers! We have 3" of fresh snow this morning and trails groomed out nicely! Today's picture is from the Meadow Loop Trail near the intersection with the Mill Hill trails. We have fresh skate and classic almost everywhere today. The skate platform is very firm and we should have some fun skating. I'll say the same for the classic track. Both will be good today so I can't pick one over the other. We have 23 degrees and broken clouds, with a flurry now and then. Some breezy winds from time to time, so you might want to keep your skin covered as we get into this late arctic cold blast for the next few days.
PVNT skiers had a great weekend of racing at Mt. Spokane, attending the last of this seasons qualifying races for Junior Nationals. Eleven of our skiers have been named to the Junior National Team that will represent the Pacific Northwest division, plus our alum Buster, now skiing for Alaska Pacific University, also qualified, bringing our total to twelve skiers! No other team in our division qualified more skiers than our small team from Plain. Congrats to all! US Junior National Championships will be held in Fairbanks, Alaska this year, March 13 - 16. This coming weekend is the Tour de Plain race. This is a self timed race event that you can ski/race on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, at your choice! More info here: https://www.skiplain.com/tourdeplain
Trails are skiing great so get out there!
