TODAY IS FINALLY THE DAY!! OUR FULL MOON COMMUNITY SKI - 6-8pm at the Meadow Loop Trailhead. Hosted by Plain Valley Adventure Women. It is a FREE event and open to everyone. We hope to see you there!

Temperatures last night hovered right around freezing and the forecast for today is calling for the same as yesterday, partly sunny and getting up into the high 30's, which means that the skiing should be really nice again. No new snow for today and without temps dropping well below freeing, the grooming happened late last night trying to give the trails as much time to set as possible.

The SnoCat groomed fresh skate and classic in Meadow Loop area, getting the Meadow Loop, the Cut-Offs, the BCT out to Mountain Springs Lodge, Mill Hill and the Sprint Loop, which all groomed out really well. A single pass was also made on Rowdy Coyote, Chainsaw Ridge (with the alternative entrance), Lumi Lane and Cougar Run, with most of it looking ok, but it is still very thin in spots and the trail is uneven. It's a bit better than it was, but the SnoCat won't be through there again until we get more snow, so use caution in those areas.

Ginzu's were out on the rest of the trail system mainly setting fresh skate with good results, especially in the the open fields and new classic on the middle section of the BCT, Stonewater Loop and the BCT up around Osprey Lodge. Trails might still be a little soft in open areas if they didn't fully set up and there are still thin, uneven spots in the trees that could even be icy in the tree wells. Organic material is still present in those forested area also.

We are making the most out of this interesting winter and are just happy that we still have snow on the trails and are still able to get out and ski. EnJoy your day and we really hope to see you tonight 6-8pm at the Meadow Loop Trailhead for our FULL MOON COMMUNITY SKI!

We also have our Saturday Clinics 10am - 12pm, which are great for all ages and can be customized for skate or classic. It's a great way to learn better technique and the ablilty to enjoy our sport even more. Information and sign up can be found HERE.
