We had an On-Snow Welcome Party last night for our Ski Team and it was a really fun way to kick off the season and see a lot of our skiers and families. We are so thankful to have snow for them to ski on. We are looking forward to a great season!
The weather has remained consistently cold for the last few days, with temperatures last night down around 20 degrees and highs expected to be just below freezing, which has kept conditions just about the same as they have been. All 3 trailheads are OPEN and Ginzu's were out again freshening up the skate on all of our open trails and leaving the classic which is mostly good in the open areas and a bit rough in the trees. The sun is shining and temps should stay right around freezing, so it is going to be a beautful day to get out on the trails.
Best conditions are still going to be in the Meadow Loop Area and in open fields around the other trailheads with a few thin, bumpy areas if you are doing some more adventurous skiing through the trees attempting to link up the entire Beaver Creek Trail. Follow the signs to link the BCT at Stonewater Loop past the flooded skier bridge to use their walking bridge a little farther up the creek.
We are still in early season, low snow conditions, so use caution out there and be aware of a few thin and rough spots. We are stillworking on getting all of our signage out and are excited to have more options for everyone to ski. Parking lots are all holding up with these cold temps, but be aware that there could be some slick icy spots out there..
