Another Holiday weekend is upon us and it was a bit windy last night, with temperatures down to around 20 degrees, but everything groomed out really well and there are plenty of trails for you get out and explore before it starts to snow this afternoon and into tomorrow.
The SnoCat made it up north and groomed skate and classic on the entire Beaver Creek Trail, Stonewater Loop, Swamp Creek Loop and Clear Creek Loop, while just setting fresh skate on Grizzly Mountain. It also groomed out most of the trails out of the Meadow Loop Trailhead for skate and classic including Meadow Loop, Sprint Loop, Rowdy Coyote and a skate pass on Chainsaw Ridge.
Everything is looking really good out there, just be aware of some thin spots on Hot Tub Hill and the Hitching Post area of Mountain Springs Lodge.

There will be a wedding this afternoon at Mountain Springs Lodge and the BCT from just past Meadow Loop to Hot Tub Hill will be closed from 3:30pm-5:15pm. There will be signs posted, but be prepared to use lower Rowdy Coyote as a detour.

A new attraction has been unveiled at the Meadow Loop Trailhead.... The Fairy Forest. Great for kids and families, take a short ski through the trees and keep an eye out for the fairies that are all around. To get there, take a right at the Welcome Hut from the trailhead and follow the signs and take an adventure through the inch of snow.
