Grooming Report... 2/23/2025

pvst11

Well, it's confirmed, the trails have not turned into rivers and there is still snow out there to ski.  Temperatures didn't get below freezing last night, but they did get close and there was quite a bit of precipitation, but the sun is currently trying to poke out from the clouds.

Conditions will be a bit soft out there and possibly a little sticky as the temperatures rise.

The SnoCat stayed in the flats of the Meadow Loop Trailhead setting fresh skate and classic on Meadow Loop, the BCT out to Mountain Springs Lodge and the Sprint Loop, while leaving the Mill Hill Complex from yesterday.  The ginzu was setting fresh skate and good portions of classic on the rest of the trail system minus the south side of Grizzly Mtn. where is was not able to make it up the from the back side.

Still be aware of the thin spots on Hot Tub Hill and the Hitching Post Area and other areas in the trees between Mountain Springs Lodge and Stonewater.

As the temperatures rise and precipitation comes down, be aware the the parking lots will start to get slushy, so use caution if in a low clearance 2wd vehicle.
