Grooming Report... 2/28/2025

pvst11

Happy last day of February!! We are again dealing with Spring like conditions, where it's getting into the 40's and possibly 50's during the day, but then freezing at night.  Ginzu's will be grooming at night to have any hope of being able to smoothing out the trails and the SnoCat will be doing a combo of both being that it has the tiller to be able to break up the frozen layer.

Last night, the Ginzu was out setting fresh skate on the Beaver Creek Trail from Hot Tub Hill all the way out to the Clear Creek Turnaround making passes on the Stonewater Loop and Swamp Creek Loop.  Hot Tub Hill, along with the Rowdy Coyote Cutoff, are very thin and icy, use caution and be prepared to walk those sections.

The SnoCat was out this morning grooming the Meadow Loop, the BCT out to Mountain Springs Lodge and the Sprint Loop, freshening up the skate lanes and setting classic on most of it.

Use caution in the parking lots, they could be icy and micro spikes are recommended.  As the temperatures rise, be aware that they will start to get slushy, so use caution if in a low clearance 2wd vehicle.
