Grooming Report... 2/7/2026

NOTICE: Both the Meadow Loop and Beaver Creek Parking Lots are now CLOSED leaving just the Osprey Lodge Parking Lot still open for your vehicle, or finding a way to get dropped off and access the trails through the Walk In Trailhead. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for sticking with us.

Unfortunately the Meadow Loop trails are having a hard time holding up to this warm weather and today is going to be the last day for grooming them because of the amount of snow that has melted exposing the ground underneath. They are still skiable out to the Mountain Springs Lodge turnaround, but you will have to avoid a few bare and thin dirty spots. The conditions up north from the Osprey Lodge parking lot are much better as it has stayed colder up there and if you are feeling adventurous, it is possible to ski from there down to the Mountain Springs Lodge access trail by only taking your skis off at the road and driveway crossings.

It tried to get close to freezing overnight, so first thing this morning will be the best time to ski, as it is calling for rain today as the temps go back up to around 40. Ginzu's were used last night trying to give the trails the max amount of time to set. Fresh skate was groomed on the Meadow Loop, the Cut-Off's, the BCT out to the Mountain Springs Lodge turnaround, from their Main Lodge to the northern terminus, Stonewater Loop and the Beaver Creek Loop also got fresh classic along with much of the BCT around the Osprey Lodge Trailhead.  The corduroy is looking pretty nice in most spots because its been warm, but many areas are saturated with water and you will still find thin/narrow/uneven trails as you head into the trees.

CAUTION AREAS: The whole Meadow Loop area, but especially the Walk-In Trailhead where the bare spot is now trail wide so you should walk all the way to the Meadow Loop intersection. We are still using the Stonewater detour to their walking bridge, so be sure to follow the signs if you are trying to ski the BCT through that area. Grizzly Mtn. also has a trail wide melt out on the ascent up and there are spots near the road crossing that have water on the trails.

CLOSED TRAILS include Sprint Loop and all of the Mill Hill Complex (Mill Hill, Rowdy Coyote, Chainsaw Ridge, Cougar Run and Lumi Lane) and the BCT from the Mountain Springs Lodge turnaround to the end of the Hitching Post, due to exposed ground and melt outs. Signs are posted or wands are marking them closed.

TRAIL DAY PASSES WILL BE DISCOUNTED TO $15 and can be purchased HERE, and as always, kids ski free, but they also need an online PASS.
