A trace of snow overnight and temperatures that didn't quite get down below freezing means that conditions will continue to be a little soft out there today. Last night the Ginzu set fresh skate on all the trails we have open and new classic was attempted on the BCT from the Osprey Lodge Trailhead down to and including Stonewater Loop. Still be aware of the thin/icy spots under the trees and the bare spot in the trees before the road crossing and 2 driveways south of the crossing. The best skiing is still the open fields especially getting out to the Swamp Creek Loop and past the trees down to Stonewater Loop.
Because there is still some good skiing out there, our current plan is to keep the trails open through the weekend and to offer discounted $15 day passes (CLICK HERE to purchase). The goal is still to offer a quality trail experience and minus the couple of spots that are bare and need to be walked, 75% of the skiing is still worth it.
Closures include everything south of Stonewater Loop and all of Grizzly Mountain. Our only open access point is the Osprey Lodge Trailhead and use caution in the parking lot as it is icy and micro spikes are recommended.
