Trail Update.... 11/26/2025

ree

Trails are still currently CLOSED, but Winter has sprung.. 6-8" of fresh snow fell last night which blanketed the ground and got us all excited about getting trails prepped for the upcoming ski season. We went out and roller packed most of the trails, getting the footprint set and preparing the base for future snow.

For those of you interested, roller packing breaks the tips off ice crystals and causing them to bond together (a process sometimes called sintering). This creates a denser, more stable surface and helps preserve the snowpack for a longer period and makes it more resistant to melting. The goal is to pack the snow down without plowing it off to the sides of the trail, while also not churning up organic material like leaves, dirt and other stuff into the snow.

We hope that you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and don't forget about our annual PVNT Dinner and Auction on December 6th, 6-8pm at Mountain Springs Lodge for an evening supporting and celebrating our youth.

Keep doing your snow dance and we will be skiing soon!!
