Grooming Report... 2/18/2026

We got fresh snow!!! Yesterday, we got just under an inch, but to the parched trails it felt like a sip of water on a hot day (even though it needs a fire hose to rehydrate, a sip can get you through for the time being). Even though it got down to the upper teens last night, the fresh snow allowed for some really nice corduroy that should make a good layer to ski on today. Unfortunately, it wasn't it enough to allow for setting new classic, so the existing tracks were left and the best are still south of the Osprey Lodge down to the Campground Loop and also south of Swamp Creek Loop down to the turnaround before Stonewater Loop. Today we are expecting temps to once again get up to the mid 30's, so it should be good skiing out there.

OPEN TRAILS: Everything north of the creek crossing at Stonewater Loop, except the southern side of Grizzly Mtn.

CAUTION AREAS: On the way to the road crossing there is just a sliver of snow left that can be used to get past a large exposed area in the trees. There is also a 2 foot wide melt out that has 2 PVC pipes to help fill the gap. Just after the road crossing are 2 bare driveways and Swamp Creek Loop is showing a few more bare spots on the southern parts of the loop. Grizzly Mtn. is now a 2 way trail and there are a couple of narrow and exposed spots.

PARKING LOTS:  The OSPREY LODGE TRAILHEAD at the main entrance of Thousand Trails is our last remaining access point to the trails.

TOUR de PLAIN UPDATE: Race #4 is going to be part of our Washington Nordic Cup race on Sunday, Februray 22nd, which because of current snow conditions, is going to be hosted at the Steven's Pass Nordic Center. It will be a classic Master's event with a start time of 12:00pm with more information and registration being found by clicking HERE.

TRAIL DAY PASSES ARE DISCOUNTED TO $15 and can be purchased HERE, and as always, kids ski free, but they also need an online PASS.
