Grooming Report... 2/21/2026
Winter is not giving up quite yet and the forecast is calling for some snow today and we are hoping that it brings more than they are expecting. Temperatures got down to the high 20's last night and are expected to jump up a few degrees to the low 30's. This morning will be a great time to get out and ski with the best places to ski still being from the northern terminus to the Campground Loop and south of Swamp Creek Loop to the creek crossing just before Stonewater Loop.

Temperatures got down to the high teens last night and the little bit of snow that we received during the day yesterday really helped to produce a lot of nice corduroy. The trails should be nice and firm this morning before it warms up to the mid 30's under partly cloudy skies. The cold temps are helping to preserve the trails that we still have and we are still hoping that the forecast is correct about some fresh snow this weekend. The Ginzu's were freshening up all the sk

We got teased with a couple of flurries last night and temperatures got just below 30 degrees making the trails firm and fast this morning, with temps not expected to get too far above freezing today. The best skiing is still from the northern terminus down to the Campground Loop and south of Swamp Creek Loop down to the turnaround at the bridge before Stonewater Loop. There is still a small ribbon of snow to make it to the road crossing without having to take skis off. G

We got fresh snow!!! Yesterday, we got just under an inch, but to the parched trails it felt like a sip of water on a hot day (even though it needs a fire hose to rehydrate, a sip can get you through for the time being). Even though it got down to the upper teens last night, the fresh snow allowed for some really nice corduroy that should make a good layer to ski on today. Unfortunately, it wasn't it enough to allow for setting new classic, so the existing tracks were lef

We made it to President's Day and still have trails to ski, so we will consider that a success in a winter like this! Temperatures got down to the mid 20's last night, so trails will be firm this morning and there will be icy areas in places, especially the thin areas under the trees. Today is expected to get up to the high 30's under cloudy skies which may soften up the trails in the open areas. The best skiing is going to remain on the BCT from the northern terminus to th

It was beautiful sunny skies for most of yesterday and it is calling for more of the same today. Temperatures got down to around 30 degrees last night, so the trails should be firm and potentially icy in spots until it warms back up to around 40 degrees and softens them up. There is still good skiing to be found out on the trails and winter hasn't fully given up on us as there is a new pattern heading our way that will bring us some cooler temperatures and hopefully some pr

Happy Valentine's Day!! If you are looking to get out and ski with your sweetheart, we did get a dusting of fresh snow on our open trails and it's be the closest thing to a powder day that we've had for quite awhile. Temperatures hovered just above freezing, so trails will softened up as temps are expected to get up into the 40's again. There is still pretty good coverage on the BCT from the northern terminus down to the just past the junction with Grizzly Mtn. and if y

It's Friday the 13th... but for us that just means another great day to get out and ski before the snow gets scared off of the trails. There is still good coverage around the Osprey Lodge Trailhead and roughly half of our trails are still open. Conditions will be firm this morning especially in the trees as the temperatures again got down to the high 20's, but it is expected to warm up to almost 40 degrees under cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain this afternoon, so t

The snow coverage up around the Osprey Lodge is holding up as the temperatures have been getting down to the high 20's at night which is making the trails pretty firm in the mornings and even a bit icy under the trees, but temps are expected to go up into the 40's again, which should soften the them up a little bit, especially out in the open areas. We have been stuck in this weather pattern for quite awhile now and we are still hoping that we can still get a little bit more

The colder temperatures at night are definitely helping the trails to stay firm longer and is making for some good skiing especially up around the Osprey Lodge Trailhead, which still has pretty nice coverage from the northern terminus down to the Campground Loop. Trails south from there get thinner as you head through the trees to the road crossing. The forecast for today is for some more sun and temps going from the high 20's up to the low 40's, so you will find mostly fir

The best conditions remain up around the Osprey Lodge Trailhead which makes sense because it's our only remaining parking lot. The BCT from the northern terminus down to the Campground Loop is holding up the best, while it is a little rough on the Swamp Creek, Beaver Creek, and Stonewater Loops and some of the areas in the trees. Temperatures got down below freezing last night and are expected to jump up to around 40 again. Ginzu's were out grooming the skate lanes on the BCT
