Grooming Report... 1/11/2026
Thank you to everyone that came out to our Full Moon Community Ski last night hosted by our amazing Plain Valley Adventure Women. It was a really fun event and we are already looking forward to next year! Temperatures last night stayed right around freezing, so grooming happened late last night giving the trails plenty of time to set up and the forecast for today is a chance of showers with temperatures jumping up to 40 degrees. Skiing today should be continue to be great,

TODAY IS FINALLY THE DAY!! OUR FULL MOON COMMUNITY SKI - 6-8pm at the Meadow Loop Trailhead . Hosted by Plain Valley Adventure Women. It is a FREE event and open to everyone. We hope to see you there! Temperatures last night hovered right around freezing and the forecast for today is calling for the same as yesterday, partly sunny and getting up into the high 30's, which means that the skiing should be really nice again. No new snow for today and without temps droppin

Today should be another great morning to get out on the trails. Temperatures last night dropped down to just below freezing and although we didn't get any new snow, the trails had plenty of time to set up. The forecast today is calling for a little bit of fog in the morning and then partly sunny skies with highs climbing up towards 40. It looks like our daytime highs for the next week or so are going to be about the same, so we are hoping that the trails will hold up and t

Just a couple of flurries last night, but temperatures did get down to the mid 20's, so with all the new snow that we got in the last couple of days, the corduroy turned out really nice for today and the cold temps mean that the skiing should be great this morning. The forecast for today is partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of snow. Ginzu's were out this morning setting fresh skate on just about all of our open trails and leaving most of the classic tracks from yester

Needless to say, we got the snow that we've been patiently asking for in the form of 10-12 inches on most of the trails, which made for quite the exciting first day of practice yesterday as groomers were scrambling to try to keep up with the snow in the Meadow Loop so that they had something to ski that wasn't up to their knees. So the good news is that we got a lot of new snow, the challenging news is that the temperatures barely got to freezing and the snow compacted very

This afternoon is the first day of Ski Team Practice for a majority of our young skiers, so it will be exciting to see them out on the trails around the Meadow Loop area from 3:30pm - 5:30pm Tues. - Thurs. for the next couple of months. No new snow last night, but temperatures did get down to just below freezing which will help the trails and today's forecast is for them to rise to the mid-30's to go along with the snow starting this morning, which will also be great for the

Patchy fog this morning with the current temperature right around freezing and then partly sunny skies this afternoon with temps climbing up to the high 30's again. A slight dusting of snow fell last night and trails groomed out a bit better than they did for yesterday, but we are still in low snow conditions and are seeing thinner areas in the trees and more uneven trails throughout the system. Be aware of those areas along with more organic material falling from the trees

Well, there's no really good way to sugar coat these conditions, so we'll just tell it like it is. Temperatures didn't quite get down to freezing last night, and with the trails yesterday already feeling a bit soft in the afternoon, trying to groom soft and sticky snow gives very mixed results. It is currently just above freezing and the forecast is calling for a bit of rain/wintry mix and patchy fog with temperatures getting up to the high 30's. Today could be more of an a

There will be a brief closure of the BCT at Mountain Springs Lodge from 3:15pm - 4:15pm due to a wedding ceremony. Signs will be posted closing the trail and suggesting the Rowdy Coyote detour. SAFETY NOTICE: Please stay on groomed ski trails and DO NOT SKI ON THE SLEIGH TRAILS at Mountain Springs Lodge. It is a huge risk for the horses and sleighs. We are experiencing a slight warming trend and temperatures last night hovered right around freezing with a very light win

It's the 2nd day into the New Year and hopefully you are going to keep your streak alive and get out and ski for every day of 2026 that you can. Yesterday felt like being inside of a snow globe as light flurries fell most of the day and with just about an inch falling last night (we'll take whatever we can get) the trails groomed up with some beautiful corduroy. Last night temperatures got down in to the high 20's and the forecast for today is to jump up into the mid 30's an

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! As we ring in 2026, we are thankful for our amazing community and the support that we receive as we work to provide a high quality trail system. We are looking forward to many more days of skiing and are especially eager for some more snow. Last night we had temperatures again down to around 20 degrees and no new snow, but today temps are looking to get just above freezing and we may even get a little bit of snow and wintry mix as the day goes on.
